Scary Stories for Bad Kids
From the mean streets of old Toronto comes a show that pits exhausted tour guide against a class of riotous fifth-graders, in a challenge to tell the scariest story they've ever heard - a story that'll knock their socks off and make their hair stand on end. And what's more: it'll all be entirely true, because this city's got ghosts everywhere you step. But they don't always stay burried. Do you dare tag along?
Scary Stories for Bad Kids was born on the rainiest, snowiest, most Canadian winter-est walking tour of my life. When faced with a class on the verge of rebellion, I said, "If you be quiet, I'll tell you a ghost story!" All of a sudden, it was dead quiet. Ghostly quiet. For the next two hours, I shoved school lessons into cavernous ghost stories, carving out the history of the city through the traces left behind, often buried right beneath our feet. And by the end of the tour, they'd even learned a little something too. Spooky and hilarious, for ghost-hunters, teachers, history-lovers and the 'bad kid' in all of us.
